The Art of Being Wise

The Art of Being WiseKnowing is a process, while knowledge is a result. Knowledge is dynamic and involves experience, whereas information is static and includes logic. The act of knowing is always alive and flowing but knowledge is dead and tends to accumulate. When on the subject of knowing and knowledge, the one who is always in the act of knowing moves toward wisdom, while the one who accumulates knowledge is condemned to stay in the past and become old.
The Art of Being Wise program covers 8 practices over a period of 1 month.



The Aim of the Program

·         What is knowledge? What is information?
·         What is the difference between collecting knowledge and being wise?
 
The Content of the Program

The program is composed of eight practices and is completed in 1 month. In every practice, a briefing which introduces a new viewpoint of the concept of wisdom will be given and a practical application will be done afterwards.
 
1st  Practice: What is knowledge?
2nd Practice: In order to gain knowledge, there must be curiosity and the desire to know
3rd Practice: Knowledge varieties are based on logic, creativity, experience, practice, and object (objective?)
4th Practice: Knowledge is obtained from two levels: physical and metaphysical
5th Practice: Knowledge becomes real knowledge when proven personally through practical experience; otherwise, it becomes disinformation or misinformation
6th Practice: Knowing is a dynamic process, whereas knowledge is a static result.
7th Practice: To get knowledge, one should not be ambitious and hasty.
8th Practice: Being knowledgeable does not mean accumulating knowledge – it is the result of acquired experience.

The Things You will Gain from the Program

When the program consisting of eight practices is completed:
·         You will realize that to be knowledgeable you do not need to accumulate knowledge but need to experience
·         You will see the difference between knowing and knowledge and see that the action of knowing always involves dynamism, whereas knowledge is static.
